What's involved?
You will work towards a City & Guilds National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2, which takes between 18 and 24 months to complete.
As a paid employee with one of the many salons we train for, you will attend a headlineshair academy one day a week to be taught the theory and practical knowledge need to complete your qualification.
You will also gain crucial experience in customer service and in-depth product knowledge.
Apprentices will attend seminars held be some of the UK’s top hairdressers and beauty manufacturers.
Once you’ve gained NVQ Level 2, the next step is to progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship NVQ Level 3 working on the salon floor as a graduate stylist.
Graduate stylists will continue to attend college one day a week to acquire knowledge in more advanced techniques.
One of the most exciting parts of your Level 3 training will be showcasing your own work in a fabulous hair show.
The Level 3 Advance Apprenticeship takes about a year to complete.
The Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeships include Key Skills training in Communications and Application of Number to ensure your talent is supported by sound business understanding.
