As a modern apprentice with Headlines you will learn your skills as you work, receiving the best available training for the career you have chosen whilst working towards a qualification.
Not only will your training take place in a salon , you will be paid while you are doing it. One day each week will be spent at Headlines City and Guilds College gaining your NVQ level 2, level 3 and Key Skills, which help you to do your job.
To gain even further knowledge and understanding, vital to your new career, you will study for a Technical Certificate.

Headlines achieved good grades at inspection 2002 making it a centre of excellence for hairdressing training and you will be employed by a salonas an apprentice and paid a wage whilst being trained by people who have up-to-the-minute experience and a high level of skills whch will be passed onto you.

There are two levels of Modern Apprenticeship:
Foundation Modern Apprentice [FMA]. As an FMA you will have a job and will be paid a wage while you work in a salon as an employee. An FMA takes at least 18 months to complete and leads to NVQ level 2. the work is mainly practical and on completion of the NVQ Level 2, you should be ready to operate your own column as a Graduate Stylist.
Advanced Modern Apprenticeship [AMA]. As an AMA you wil be employed as a Graduate Stylist progessing to senior stylist and be paid an appropriate wage. The training usually lasts about 24 months and leads to NVQ 3 and Technical Certificate. On completion of your AMA you will be a fully qualified, employable stylist. Headlines will also provide advice and guidance on your future career options and opportunities.
