Headlineshair was founded by Tony Marriott in 1968 towards the end of one of the most innovative, influential and iconic decades in British fashion and hairdressing.

The first salon was opened in Southport and Tony has since built-up a chain of 10 professional salons across the North West.

When you visit our salons you will receive a comprehensive consultation and your personal stylist will recommend style options for you. We also explain how to recreate the style at home and products to help you achieve a salon finish.

Our stylists have thorough training on our product ranges so you can be sure the right product is recommended for your look.

Headlineshair uses the world’s finest ranges, which can be purchased from our salons or through our on-line shop for home use.

Headlineshair salons also feature the revolutionary Colour Factory; a system to mix the perfect hair colours every time at the push of a button. Choose from hundreds of shades in both permanent and semi-permanent colours to make you look and feel fabulous.

The team

The company’s focus from the start was to develop fresh talent. This approach continues to work today with more than 80,000 clients coming through the doors every year for the headlineshair experience.

With staff development a priority, headlineshair was one of the first businesses in the UK to be awarded Investors in People. Indeed, we were so good at nurturing talent that we opened our first training academy in 1982 based in Southport and its success led to the launch of a second academy in Preston in 1992.

Our stylists are given the opportunity of national and international travel to see and partake in seminars from leading hairdressers and manufacturers.
